Winter 2015 is upon us. As we dive into wintertime, let’s take a look at some of the season’s hottest lifestyle and fashion trends — plus some ideas for how you, too, can get the look.
1. I Want to Be a Superhero
Back in the early 80s, every kid in America had the urge to wear superhero underwear, thanks to an aggressive advertising campaign for Underoos. (Anyone else out there remember those?)
Fast-forward to winter 2015. Not only are 1980s looks in style again, but people even have a renewed interest in superheroes — because of the upcoming 2016 release of the movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. So, heroes like Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman are trendy once again.
This time around, they’ll be decorating more than just underwear. Look for these larger-than-life characters everywhere, on t-shirts, shoes, notebooks, calendars and just about any other surface you could think of. Pictured here: super heroes like Wonder Woman adorn the sides of a new line of DC Comics-inspired Converse All-Star sneakers.
2. Crochet and Artistic Handcrafts
Crochet is trendy worldwide. Knitters and crocheters have been responsible for some of the latest fashion trends we’re seeing around; the infinity scarf craze started with knitters and crocheters, and the ruffle scarf craze was fueled by some of the cool new novelty yarns that have recently hit the marketplace. Crocheters and knitters are also at the forefront of the fingerless glove trend.

3. Free Your Fingers With Texting Gloves
It seems that everyone has a smartphone these days. And everyone knows that you can’t use your phone if you’re wearing big, bulky gloves. The solution? Get yourself a pair of fingerless gloves, which the in-the-know crowd has now rebranded as “texting gloves.” The idea here is that you can keep warm, look fab and not compromise the mobility in your hands.

4. CrossFit Training
Cross training isn’t a new trend; it’s more of a fitness mainstay. However, these days there’s a group of athletes who have propelled cross training into the limelight with their own special take on it: They call it “CrossFit.”
CrossFit athletes aspire to be fit enough to handle any possible challenge that life could throw at them. They want to be able to run, rappel, jump, climb, skip, squat, row, wrestle, fight, and lift superhuman amounts of weight.
And, of course, they want to look hot while doing it all.
CrossFit clothes are intended to show off a healthy, muscular bod in style. And CrossFit shoes are designed to take you just about anywhere, from the gym to the track to the grocery store.
